Thank you for continuing to show up! We are excited to see our live online and outdoor classes thriving and are happy to share that 43 new students joined our community over the past month! We are still offering a free 5 class pass ($60 value) to those brand new to our online yoga community.
Please share this gift of yoga with your friends and family in Seattle and beyond by pointing them to our website where they will find the link to the free 5 class pass: www.omculture.com. If they need any assistance setting up their account with our new student free 5 class pass, I'm always happy to help. If we all reach out and share this gift with just one other person, our community will have the necessary resources to survive, to thrive and to grow.
I hope you'll consider joining our free reading group. It's not too late to get started. I dove into our book this month: Me & White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World and Become a Good Ancestor by Layla Saad, and I am learning a lot. If the terms white privilege, white fragility, and gaslighting are familiar but you're not sure how they apply to you (and especially if you are convinced that they don't apply to you at all), this book will help to hold a mirror and reflect how systemic racism is deeply rooted and lives inside us all. It's helpful to read this book with the support of community as it stirs up a lot of discomfort along with feelings of guilt and shame. We will gather online for a free discussion to process what we have learned on Wednesday August 26 at 8pm.
If you're busy and on the go like me, you might consider downloading the audio version of the book so you can enjoy it while walking. The recording is a total of 5 hours and 19 minutes and includes journaling prompts so you'll want to make some additional time to pause and reflect with a notebook on hand.
with love and care,
