Today's dose of inspiration was shared by Tami after our Tuesday morning practice. I love this direct call for us to find our courage, to choose to lift ourselves up over and over again, and to trust in the unknown of the future. We never know what lies ahead, but we do know that how we spend our days is how we spend our lives. Do something today that makes you smile or laugh or sigh. Reach out to someone you love to say hello. Shake off any feelings of fear with your yoga practice to make space for an increased awareness of the present moment so you can joyfully access a deep sense of inner peace. I'm sending so much love, care and gratitude for each and every one of you. Make it a beautiful day and remember to celebrate the earth! Today brings the new moon, a time for our roots to grow and strengthen. I'll be transplanting some veggie seedlings and raspberry plants into the earth of my garden so their roots can feel the pull of the new moon and an opportunity to feel grounded and at home where they can strengthen and grow. Whatever you choose to do with your Earth Day, be sure to carve out some time to nourish yourself. The name OmCulture was birthed from the idea of creating sustainable models for how we interact with the earth (permaculture) and with the creatures who inhabit it. Through the sacred practices of yoga, dance, movement and connection, we are reminded that we are all from the same light and all vibrating with Om, the sound of the cosmic motor.
We must eradicate from the soul all fear and terror of what comes towards man out of the future. We must acquire serenity in all feelings and sensations about the future. We must look forward with absolute equanimity to everything that may come. And we must think only that whatever comes is given to us by a world-directive full of wisdom. It is part of what we must learn in this age, namely, to live out of pure trust, without any security in existence. Trust in the ever present help of the spiritual world. Truly, nothing else will do if our courage is not to fail us. And let us seek the awakening from within ourselves, every morning and every evening. ~ Rudolf Steiner ~ 1861-1925
