About the Event
We are about to enter the Autumnal Equinox which is considered the first day of Fall where we experience equal parts of daylight and darkness. It is a time of balancing and transitioning from the active summer, into the cooler time of the year. It's a time for letting go, to surrender, and to release. The same parallel can be found in nature, as the trees release their leaves and draw their energy back to their center.
Yin Yoga is a beautiful, slow, and meditative practice where we simply allow for time and gravity to build space into the connective tissues in our bodies.
In this 90 min Yin Yoga Workshop we will practice poses that aim to stimulate the energy flow in the meridians (energy channels) connected to the lungs and large Intestine. These organs and meridians are associated with fall and our ability to receive and release.
Please gather a bolster, two blocks, & a blanket and find a peaceful place in your home to settle in and rest. Couch cushions, bed pillows, rolled up blankets and books can be good substitutes or you can contact email@example.com to buy used blocks/blankets.
